Description:
R&D Manager /Sr. R&D Manager Location: Nanjing Report to Global R&D Manager Lead a big R&D team in charge of CTS team and Lab. In Nanjing Key Focus: •Management of a group, team or program •Development of novel/improved products/ processes/technologies in highly sophisticated areas of chemistry Accountabilities: •Safety •Develop and evaluate new project opportunities in cooperation with other Albemarle functions and external organizations •Synthesis of new products •Project success (timing, $ spent, outcome, potential $ earned) •Development and performance of staff Responsibilities: •Project management •Develop/maintain technical expertise •Effective research planning •Coordinate activities of bench chemists and other groups/departments •Evaluate technical merits of proposed technologies •Effectively communicate results and recommendations to internal and external customers •Develop, coach and motivate staff performance and development
Requirements:
•Minimum Master degree with chemical relevant discipline •10+ years relevant experience in chemical application industry, with at least 5 years people management experience •Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese •Good decision maker and problem solver •Sense of integrity and be trustful •Awareness of safety, health and environment
